How do I qualify for the Food Pantry?
We use federal guidelines for family/household income to determine eligibility.

Is it better to donate food or make a monetary donate?
Both are greatly appreciated and essential to our mission.
Monetary donations are used to purchase food from Second Harvest, Wal-Mart and Hy-Vee. It also helps pay for utilities and building maintenance.
Food donations help keep our shelves stocked all year round with a variety of items.
How much do you charge for items?
Items are free of charge. The amount given is based on the size of the family.
How many families do you serve?
The number of families using the food pantry varies throughout the year. The food pantry provides assistance to anywhere between 160-200 families each month
Each family may receive food one time per month.
A volunteer will assist you with your food choices.
Please bring a photo ID showing Nodaway County residency with you each time you come.

How do I apply to use the Food Pantry?
Clients must apply at the Food Pantry during open hours.
Clients must present the following for the initial application and each January thereafter:
Proof of residency in Nodaway County (Utility bill, rental agreement, etc.)
Verification of all income
