So do you still want donations of food?

Yes, we do!!!

Donated food items are necessary because there is a limited range of items that we can purchase.  Your donations provide a variety of items that we can't get otherwise.  They also ensure that our shelves are always full.

You can always bring donated food items to the Ministry Center during our hours of operation.  Many of the churches in the county collect items for us as well.  Please contact your church for details.

We also accept fresh locally grown, seasonal produce.  Please contact the center for details on the center's needs and delivery information.

Gift of Prayer

Thank you residents of Nodaway County

For your generous donations of clothing, food, time and financial support.

The gift of time

is essential to our ministry.

We are not a large bureaucracy.

We are local people helping other local people who are in need.

We do not have any paid employees. Everyone is a volunteer.

Prayer is an important gift that is often overlooked but it is vital to any ministry.  Please remember our clients, volunteers and donors in your prayers.

Most of the people who walk through our doors are struggling to make ends meet.  There are a multitude of reasons that bring them here: Job loss or decrease in income, family illness, death of a spouse, addictions, infirmities that come with age, and hopelessness just to name a few.

To make a monetary donation

Please send your check made out to The Ministry Center to:

The Ministry Center

971 South Main St.

Maryville MO 64468

You may also make a monetary donation through your church.

Why are monetary donations important?

The center is able to purchase food items from 2nd Harvest Food Bank, Wal-Mart and Hy-vee at a reduced rate.  This gives us the opportunity to distribute more items for the same amount of money.

The center also purchases pre-packaged "Backpacks" for our Backpack Buddies program.  The "Backpacks" are delivered from 2nd Harvest to the local schools.

There are other expenses associated with operating a facility for our services:  Utilities, maintenance costs and appliances to keep food fresh.  Monetary donations keep us operational.

How do I donate clothing?

There is a bin on the South side of the building for clothing donations.  If possible, please bag clothes for easier removal.

Your donations are keeps our Clothing Room stocked and we appreciate it.  Due to limited space in the center, our priority needs are usually seasonal clothing.
